The Heritage Edition
As part of Hibernian FCโs 150th anniversary season, two special edition kits were launched. The hooped kit, celebrating the โfirst to wear the greenโ heritage of the club, and this limited edition Heritage Edition top. Featuring the 150th anniversary logo, based on the clubโs original emblem, and a replica of the clubโs first ever strip, this kit was limited to 1875 pieces, and each was individually numbered.
As this strip would never be worn by players, and to avoid dating the kit with players who may come and go, we made the decision to shoot it without any models, preferring to focus on the stadium, and Edinburgh itself as the setting. A mixture of recognisable locations were selected, and also those which played a significant role in the clubโs history. Leith, the clubโs historical home, Edinburgh Castle, which features on the club crest, and the Meadows, where the first Edinburgh derby was played.
