Lanzera

Not to be dramatic, but I live for this kind of commission.

Lanzera is a family owned brand, producing quality footwear and apparel for the modern football connoisseur. With itโ€™s origins in grassroots football (ahem, soccer), culture in the USA, the urban aspect of football heritage was something that was critical when it came to visual representation.

The project is comprised of two main parts, the athletes, wearing the Professionale boot, and the people, wearing the Jackal trainers and the Lanzera leisurewear line.

The Jackal

The Jackal

The people.- The everyday football fan, found in public parks, playing one-touch in the street, or just chilling out together talking about the beautiful game. These shots illustrate the Lanzera Jackal trainers, as well as their leisurewear items.

These images were shot in 2 locations, one, the stadium, where football fans the world over will congregate each matchday, and in the urban environment. The shots were given a grainy, slightly nostalgic feel, something which complimented the environments and ethos being shot, unpolished, relaxed, and built on heritage.

The Professionale

The Professionale

The athletes- At itโ€™s heart, Lanzera is for everyone, from your weekend warriors to your GPS vest wearing, energy gel slurping professionals. We shot the Professionale boot with a group of professional footballers from Hibernian FC, and simply told them to have fun. This wasnโ€™t about tactics, drills or training, it was about having fun with the ball, and letting their passion show.

The photography was intentionally bright, clear, and natural, reflective of the precise nature of the manufacture of the boots. We shot in a wide open training facility, avoiding the aesthetics and connotations of a stadium, because whilst these players are professionals, they could just as easily be you or I.
